The Konrad Reuland Community Hero Award is a local honor established in memory of Konrad Reuland, the late NFL tight end and Mission Viejo High School alumnus. Traditionally presented during one of our high school football events—and proudly sponsored by Santa Margarita Toyota—the award recognizes a student-athlete who exemplifies the values Konrad embodied: integrity, generosity, service, and selflessness, both on their team and within the broader community. It celebrates his legacy as a leader of character “on and off the field,” inspiring others to emulate these qualities in their daily lives. Recipients are selected for their exceptional community engagement and leadership, making the award a meaningful tribute to Konrad’s enduring spirit.
